• Promotion of CICS Employment Services: targeting underemployed/unemployed job seekers, particularly racialized youth and women, lacking knowledge of community resources. The incumbent brings fresh perspectives and creativity to content creation, generating new ideas for posts on social media platforms and other marketing materials to attract specific groups for particular projects

Social Media management:

• Managing social media accounts, creating engagement posts, and interacting with potential and existing clients by responding to inquiries and promoting services.
• Monitoring feedback, suggestions, and inquiries, ensuring timely responses and effectively addressing concerns

Photography and design:

• Creating posters and flyers using tools like Canva and other design tools
• Capturing photos and videos for workshops

Market Research

• Researching the latest employment market trends and hiring needs among employers. This benefits the incumbent by providing access to current information about the labour market, enhancing understanding of needs and requirements, and enabling informed career decisions
• Utilize the result of market research and create posts on social media platforms

Others

• Work with Employment Counsellors in networking events, job searching workshops, and creating promotional materials for PowerPoint slides for specific programs
• Engage in team meetings to exchange information and offer insights
• Maintain regular communication with supervisors and team members
• Documenting client interactions and performing data entry into the database

Required Qualifications: Post SecondaryLanguage required for the position: English and ChineseTerms and Conditions:

• Salary: $16.55 per hour
• Hours of work: 35 hours per week
• No. of weeks: 15
• Anticipated Start Date / End Date: May 06 to August 16, 2024 (Pending Funding Approval from CSJ 2024)

• Be between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of the employment;
• Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act and;
• Be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations;
