Summary The Employment Outreach Worker is primarily responsible for providing employment-related supports for individuals who need extra support in accomplishing their employment goals. The Employment Outreach Worker will work within a small (but fun!) team, who work together to help our participants achieve steps towards self-sufficiency. The successful candidate will receive in-house training to learn more about the organization, our philosophies, and how we provide employment supports according to best practices. The responsibilities of the Employment Outreach Worker include, but are not limited to:
- On-site job coaching
- Transporting participants
- Job interview support
- Education/training support
- Employment-related advocacy
- Employer relations
- Community connections to external service providers
- Accurate reporting
- Development of individualized plans
- Assistance with other organizational duties
- Class 5 Driver\'s License + 3 years driving history
- Valid First Aid with CPR-C
- RCMP Vulnerable Sector check
- Demonstrated competencies:
- Ability to provide proficient one-on-one training, support and mentorship
- Effective verbal and written communication
- Professional documentation
- Time Management skills
- Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Integrity, confidentiality, and healthy work principles
- Working in office environment and various job sites - indoor and outdoor
- Intermittent physical activity on job sites, including standing, walking, bending, lifting, carrying
- Position available immediately, but willing to wait for the right candidate
- Working hours are generally Monday to Friday 8:30 - 5pm
