The Employer/Student Liaison performs a variety of complex duties that support the recruitment of students into co-op programs at Sheridan and facilitates the placement of students into co-op work terms. The incumbent is responsible for liaising with employers for the purpose of advertising all co-op employment opportunities, developing job interview schedules, preparing offers of employment, and assisting with event planning.
What You\xe2\x80\x99ll be Doing
Documenting and maintaining employer related activity and information in Career-Integrated Learning database/SheridanWorks;
Providing information to employers on the hiring process and discussing modifications to existing job descriptions;
Following up with employers and students regarding job posting status, promoting, and encouraging interview process and communicating the job interview schedule; coordinating and communicating on campus interview room arrangements, ensuring parking arrangements are facilitated, and communicating this to students/employers;
Generating interview schedules for employers and confirming interview time slots with students and employers;
Soliciting interview feedback from employers;
Notifying employer of student acceptance or rejection of job offers; communicating results of recruitment process to Co-op Advisors and any changes/updates regarding company and/or company contact information to Job Developers;
Recording, preparing, distributing confirmation of employment forms, ensuring accurate information is obtained, and monitoring, collecting, and documenting all necessary insurance forms;
Creating, retrieving and/or inputting co-op job descriptions received from employers; facilitating student job application packages to employers:
Assisting in events planning and participating in departmental meetings, committees, and task forces;
Other duties as assigned.

The successful candidate will also meet the following requirements:
2-year diploma in Business Administration, Office Administration, or a related field.
3-years of progressive office experience in support of a sales/account team, human resources recruitment and selection or in support of a department which provides exemplary customer service (equivalency to be considered).
Experience working with intermediate level databases and spreadsheets.
