Overview

Do you have experience providing exceptional customer service? We have opportunities for client-focused individuals to join our Assessments department as employer services centre (ESC) agents. The Assessments department at WorkSafeBC is responsible for helping employers register for our no-fault insurance systems and maintain their accounts. Working in our call centre, you'll support our customer service initiatives by acting as the first point of contact for employers who require assistance with their insurance coverage - answering their questions regarding coverage, registration, and payment.

What you'll do

As an employer services centre agent you will:

  • Handle incoming phone inquiries on employer assessments, account compliance, and financial transactions
  • Collect required financial information from clients for the employer account, which may require placing phone calls to employers
  • Communicate via email to new employers and e-business agents who have requested assistance for online account services
  • Investigate employer contact information for returned mail and update contact information on employer accounts

  • Gather and analyze information in a timely manner
  • Actively listen and clearly convey information to audiences with varying levels of knowledge
  • Interact in a diplomatic, empathetic, and objective manner, and build rapport with individuals
  • Independently manage changing priorities and frequent interruptions
Your experience and educational background:
  • Completion of grade 12 (post-secondary education is an asset)
  • A minimum of one year of customer service experience, or general office/business experience using the phone to gather information and enter data
  • Must type a minimum of 40 words per minute
  • Ability to perform mathematical calculations
  • Ability to apply correct English language skills, grammar, and spelling
  • Ability to accurately record and enter data
