Also known as the Associate Relations Manager, you will primarily be responsible for conducting Associate Relations investigations and inquiries, providing effective people management consultation and guidance, and recommending outcomes to resolve employee relations issues.

This is a Hybrid 3-month contract to perm role, based in Montreal or Mississauga, and an opportunity to work with one of Canada's leading companies.

Responsibilities:

  • Investigating, analyzing, and making appropriate recommendations regarding complex employee relations issues; exercise influence appropriately. More specifically:
  • Formulating appropriate investigative strategy and coordinating appropriate interview logistics
  • Creating pertinent questions for each investigative party
  • Interpreting and communicating policies with Associates and managers in the organization
  • Work independently to manage designated employee relations case load within established guidelines utilizing a sound judgment
  • Conduct fair, neutral, timely investigations and provide guidance related to conflict resolution, disciplinary action, and/or termination about various workplace matters
  • Providing guidance to maintain employment law compliance, facilitating employee relations training programs, fact-finding, and partnering with legal on EEO/suits
  • Partner with Legal, Risk, GSO, and HR to manage escalated Associate relations issues; monitor activities and outcomes to ensure fair and consistent application of policy and treatment of Associates
  • Protect the balance of interests of both Associates and ADP in accordance with HR policies, laws, and regulations
  • Recommend areas for improvement in the delivery of services, technology, process, and policy
  • Represents the organization in legal hearings on labor issues and with labor governing bodies
  • Makes recommendations for changes to existing policies to ensure compliance with new or proposed regulations
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field
  • 5 to 7 years of Employee Relations accountability in Canada
  • Experience in both Human resources and Employee Investigation
  • Must be familiar with Canadian federal, state, and local regulations pertaining to labor issues
  • Knowledge of Canadian Employment law
  • You are outspoken and verbally articulate with excellent written skills
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks at once and diligently pursue multiple investigations at once
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
