Now Hiring: Employee Experience & Communications Specialist

:

TMX is seeking a Specialist, Employee Experience & Communications to join its Human Resources team. Reporting to the team manager, this person will be responsible for helping to support the execution of employee communications, events, wellness and recognition initiatives to drive employee engagement in a hybrid workplace. This role has strong events and digital components. The right candidate should become comfortable with coordinating the components of a successful event, writing for the web, managing web platforms, and have basic competence in design principles and software.

Location: Toronto (hybrid)

Key Accountabilities:


  • Support the execution of internal communication plans that promote the TMX Employee Value Proposition, support the company\xe2\x80\x99s strategy, and drive employee engagement.

  • Develop, write and build content for the CMS-based intranet and other digital forums such as internal digital screens. Ensure the content is up-to-date, dynamic with visuals, and user friendly based on site metrics.

  • Work with the team to help coordinate company-wide employee engagement events (in-person and virtual) such as themed socials, wellness events and virtual global concert series.

  • Coordinate logistics (invites, meeting requests, slide decks, etc.) around employee communication forums such as all employee meetings and other HR-offered sessions.

  • Coordinate special employee gifts and prizing for employee contests across global offices.

  • Liaise with Marketing to build dynamic imagery to support our channels (digital assets and any printed needs). This includes briefing, editing and reviewing all assets for the approval process.

  • Co-manage the employee editorial content calendar.

  • Assist in the research of creative ideas and content for employee events, the virtual Watercooler, charity, and wellness and recognition programs.

  • Provide support for the charitable giving program and coordinate follow ups on action items.

  • Assist with the coordination and development of digital assets, videos, subtitles, infographics, slide decks, distributions lists etc.

  • Coordinate payments and ensure budget spreadsheets are updated accordingly.


Skills & Experience:

  • Post-secondary degree in Communications, PR, or Journalism

  • 2-3 years of post-university work experience in employee communications and events.

  • Strong and effective written and verbal communication skills

  • Knowledge of Canadian Press (CP) style

  • Basic knowledge of good design principles. Proficient in CANVA and Adobe Creative Cloud, especially Illustrator and Photoshop

  • Experience managing web CMS platforms such as Wordpress, Sharepoint or others.

  • Proficient in Google Workspace (slides, sheets, docs)

  • Basic HTML knowledge, and an understanding of web accessibility

  • Proactive team player with ability to get things done

  • Ability to build relationships across the team in a hybrid environment

  • Highly service-oriented with outstanding organizational and follow up skills

  • Adaptable and comfortable with change

  • Can manage conflicting priorities

  • Strong sense of judgment

  • Digitally savvy & creative

  • Strong attention to detail

  • High degree of organization

  • Bilingualism in French is an asset, as is experience using the Google Workspace.

This role is required to know a language other than French as TMX is an international organization with operations across the globe and its clients, shareholders, competitors, stakeholders, regulators and employees communicate in English.
