About the Role

We are seeking a

dedicated Emergency Veterinarian

to join our supportive and growing ER team in our state-of-the-art, 24/7 hospital. This position is ideal for a veterinarian who thrives in a fast-paced environment, values collaboration, and is committed to providing compassionate, high-quality emergency care.

Key Responsibilities

Provide urgent and emergency veterinary care to small animals during overnight and weekend shifts Diagnose, treat, and manage critical cases with confidence and professionalism Collaborate closely with RVTs, veterinary assistants, and support staff to ensure efficient patient care Communicate effectively with pet owners, providing clear updates and treatment recommendations Maintain accurate medical records and uphold hospital standards and protocols
Schedule

12-hour shifts (7 AM-7 PM or 7 PM-7 AM) Primarily Fridays through Mondays, including swing shifts
Qualifications

Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree Licensed (or eligibility for licensure) with the College of Veterinarians of Ontario (CVO) Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities Previous emergency or urgent care experience preferred, but mentorship and support are available for the right candidate
