The Routing Service Platform DevOps and Tools group is seeking a DevOps and Tools engineer with experience in embedded software development, Linux development and configuration, Yocto build recipes, security concepts and procedures as well as CI/CD. As a member of our dynamic team, you will participate in all DevOps and tools aspects, including by not limited to:

• Participating in day-to-day build activities such as collecting pull requests, following builds to completion, following up on test failures with test infrastructure team and development team, providing your expertise in embedded software development for bulk merges
• Improving product build time - refactoring Yocto dependencies, increasing CI/CD pipeline automation
• Moving the needle of Secure Development Lifecycle - incorporating static code analysis, automating code review checklists in CI/CD
• Monitoring security risks and vulnerabilities

What technical experience and/or professional and personal skills are required for this role?

• Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Software/Computer Engineering or Computer Science
• 3 - 10+ years\xe2\x80\x99 work experience (Dependent on level) focused on embedded Linux development \xe2\x80\x93 Yocto is ideal
• 3 - 10+ years\xe2\x80\x99 experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins
• Experience with C, Python, Bitbucket, Git, JIRA, opengrok
• Experience with security tools and concepts such as Coverity, Black Duck, safe C, secure boot, etc.
• Familiarity or experience with Scrum/Agile methodologies is an asset
• Positive work attitude, highly motivated and an ability to seek out answers with a willingness to learn and work independently
• Strong verbal and technical writing skills
• Collaborates well in a team environment
• Excited about embracing new technologies and processes and seeks to remain on the cutting edge of what is currently available
