As an Electromagnetic Design Engineer, you will join the Advanced Engineering team, integrated into the Engineering department responsible for the development of traction motors and high-voltage electronics for electric vehicles. You will contribute to the mission of the Advanced Engineering team to bring to maturity new technologies and innovations that allow developed engines and electronic products to stand out. The team is called upon to support the various technology roadmaps maintained by the product development and product planning groups, as well as by representatives of light, commercial and off-road vehicle business units. The team is responsible for completing technology assessment, demonstration and technical risk mitigation and technical risk mitigation projects and sharing the results. Job Duties and Responsibilities
Your strengths:
Master\'s degree in electrical engineering (Asset: PhD in electric motor design)
More than 3 years of industrial experience in electromagnetic design of electric motor
Mastery of electromagnetic simulation software by FEA (asset: Altair Flux)
Experience in manufacturing and experimental validation of electric motor
Excellent mastery of radial flow PMSM topology variants
Good knowledge of the state of the art of different electric motor topologies, mainly for the electric vehicle market
Mastery of mathematical modeling of electric motors and motor control strategies
Experience in programming work tools
Knowledge of materials, methods and constraints, industrial manufacture of electric motors
Knowledge of inverter architectures and motor components without direct impact on torque (sensors, mechanical elements, etc.)
Interest and ability to develop and use multidisciplinary skills, theoretical and practical, towards the achievement of results
Sensitivity to intellectual property protection
Project Management Skills: Assess technical risks and workload, build and maintain schedule and budget, communicate contingencies and plan mitigation
Curiosity, resourcefulness, autonomy, and results-oriented decision-making

Functional French and English
Asset: Experience in motor control programming and simulation

Your challenges:
Analyze by FEA the electromagnetic behavior of motors including their performance and efficiency
Lead or contribute to the design of prototypes of engines of varied and innovative topologies
Lead or collaborate in the development or improvement of engine design optimization tools, including system and Multiphysics aspects
Lead or participate in the various stages of an Advanced Engineering project including the identification of objectives and risks, business planning, design, procurement and manufacture of prototypes, experimental validation , documentation, and sharing of results
Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team (Electromagnetism, Electronics, Software, Mechanics) towards the achievement of objectives and problem solving
Conduct and participate in risk analyses and failure modes
Contribute to establishing, maintaining and improving processes
