Yukon University has been administering Mastercard Foundation\'s EleV Program since 2018. The Program vision is for Indigenous young people to be living Mino Bimaadiziwin - \xe2\x80\x9ca good life\xe2\x80\x9d, a holistic and Indigenized view of success in the Anishinaabe language. Realizing this ambitious vision will require systemic changes to our education, training and employment systems based on the direction of Indigenous youth and communities so that these systems value and support success for Indigenous youth.Yukon University is currently in the third year of the renewed agreement, which extends until March 31, 2027. EleV is supporting a number of projects both at YukonU and in partnership with external Yukon First Nation partner organizations. Reflection and co-learning, guided by a Learning Framework, are important components of the Mastercard Foundation partnership, which the Learning Facilitator will support.About the EleV Learning Facilitator position
Reporting to the EleV Manager, the Learning Facilitator is responsible for leading evaluation, learning, communications, and narrative reporting for Yukon University\'s EleV Program. This position supports priority setting, reflection, understanding, adjustment, and amplification of the EleV Program impact through storytelling and other means of communication. The ultimate goal of this work is to is to better understand and transform current systems at YukonU and in the broader Yukon First Nations education ecosystem so they can better serve Indigenous youth.The Learning Facilitator will develop and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external partners and stakeholders, including extensive engagement with Yukon First Nations.
The Facilitator will create forums for reflection and dialogue with EleV project leads and members of the Yukon First Nation community, including Elders, youth and Knowledge Holders. They will partner with EleV project leads on storytelling and analyze and synthesize information gathered to articulate inputs, activities, outcomes, impacts, and lessons learned, as well as challenges, opportunities and future areas of priority. They will use a variety of communication methods to share back to Mastercard Foundation, YukonU, the greater Yukon First Nations community, and beyond the territory to ensure transparency, accountability and knowledge sharing.Aligned with Yukon University\'s commitment to Reconciliation and pledge to employment equity, qualified applicants from Yukon First Nations may be given priority.
