UC Elementary School is seeking enthusiastic and adaptable supply teachers to join our team. As a supply teacher, you will play a vital role in maintaining continuity in our students' learning experiences. You will work across various grades and rotary subjects as assigned, covering a variety of duties like lunch and after school program, rotary subjects and when TAs are absent, in addition to ensuring a safe, positive, and engaging environment for all students.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Daily Assignment Notification:
Be available for assignment calls between 7:00 am and 7:30 am to confirm the grade or rotary subject you will teach that day. Advanced notice may be provided when possible.
2. Work Schedule:
8 hours per day from 7:45-4:45 or 8-5 depending on the need.
3. Class Coverage:
Deliver supply plans provided by the teacher for the assigned grade or rotary subject.
Cover other classes as required to address teacher absences at the elementary building.
4. Classroom Support:
Assist with classroom setup, tidying, and ensuring the environment is clean, safe, and conducive to learning.
Supervise and guide students during lessons, ensuring the delivery of engaging and effective instruction.
5. Positive Learning Environment:
Foster a welcoming, nurturing, and inclusive atmosphere that supports students' sense of belonging, self-esteem, and academic growth.
Encourage and model positive behavior, supporting students in following rules and resolving conflicts respectfully.
6. Supervision and Safety:
Monitor students during indoor and outdoor play, ensuring their safety and addressing incidents promptly.
Supervise students during lunch, ensuring a safe and respectful environment.
7. Communication:
Assist in communicating daily updates and activities to parents under the guidance of the lead teacher.
8. Adherence to Policies:
Follow all school, safety, and government regulations, including health, hygiene, and child protection policies.
Qualifications:
Certified teacher (OCT qualification preferred).
Strong classroom management skills.
Ability to adapt to different grade levels and subjects seamlessly.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Dedication to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
