Elementary Supply Teacher and After School Supervisor

RHMS is seeking an Ontario Certified Teacher with Junior, Intermediate and/or senior qualifications to fill the Supply Teacher and After School Supervisor position, for the 2025-2026 academic year. This position will provide teachers with great experience and opportunities at RHMS.

Responsibilities:

3:00 p.m.-6:00 p.m. (Monday - Friday Required):

Provide active and direct supervision while students complete homework and/or other quiet activities.
7:30 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. (As Needed):

Supply for elementary grades one to eight, following and building off of the Ontario curriculum as required. Use a variety of relevant resources and technology to supplement the provided lesson plans in a meaningful way. Maintain a positive learning environment using age-appropriate and effective classroom management techniques. Keep up-to-date on innovative teaching methods and developments in the education field through seminars, additional qualifications, etc. Keep teachers up-to-date on the day and students taught in their absence.

Qualifications:

Candidates must be flexible to work supply hours between 7:30 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., Monday to Friday

Bachelor's Degree with Honours preferred.

B. Ed with primary, junior, intermediate and/or senior qualifications

. Note: Our school educates students grades' 1-8 with an enriched curriculum 1-2 years of full-time classroom teaching experience.

Competency Requirements:

Comfortable teaching up to Grade 8 level. Creative, innovative, and positive approach to teaching. Understands the needs of students and goes beyond the call of duty. Excellent classroom management, organization and planning skills. Thrives in a positive team environment and easily adapts to new things. Communicates with parents, students, and co-workers in a respectful and supportive manner. Confident solving problems and providing solutions when issues arise. Works with a high standard of integrity. Excellent oral, written, communication, facilitation and presentation skills. Highly proficient in navigating Windows and Apple operating systems and SMARTBoards. Skilled in Google Suites and Schoology an asset.

Additional Information:

Hours: 7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday to Friday, as needed. Hourly Rate: $44.50 per hour.
