Job Description

Bond Academy, a Kindergarten to Grade 12 Private School located at 1500 Birchmount Road in Scarborough, has an opening for a full-time special education resource teacher. The position is for the remainder of the 2022/23 school year; the preferred start time is January 23, 2023. The position is eligible for extension beyond the 2022&2023 school year. Recently retired teachers are invited to apply. Employment at Bond Academy does not affect your OTPP. Preference qualifications:

• Registered and in good standing with the OCT
• Primary/Junior or Junior Intermediate qualifications
• Preference given to candidates with previous classroom and/or resource teacher experience, Special Education qualifications and experience supporting students with an IPRC and/or I.E.P.
• Resouce support will be provided by integration into the classroom with withdrawal support in small groups as required.
• Qualifications obtained through training and certification programs in another province will be acceptable.
• Resource support provided as a team member, under the direction of the Resource Program Administrator.

• The successful candidate will need to provide a Vulnerable Section Police Check and comply with any implemented Mandatory Covid Immunization MOE policies.
