About L3Harris WESCAM

As a subsidiary of L3Harris Technologies and within the Integrated Mission Systems Segment, the WESCAM division develops the most advanced optical and sensor systems for global defense and military sectors, Homeland Security, Search and Rescue and Airborne law enforcement agencies. From long-range covert surveillance missions to search and rescue operations, our MX-series systems, and the mission systems solutions they are a part of, produce stabilized high-magnification electro-optical and infrared images from airborne, marine and ground based platforms, enabling our customers to see first and act first.

Responsibilities

\xc3\x82\xc2\xb7Assemble, test, adjust and troubleshoot Optical, Electronic and Electrical/Mechanical assemblies

\xc3\x82\xc2\xb7Repair or rework existing assemblies

\xc3\x82\xc2\xb7Work with Engineering on development of new products/procedures

\xc3\x82\xc2\xb7Maintain test data, complete NCRs (Non-Conformance reports), analyze and advise on corrective actions

\xc3\x82\xc2\xb7Assist in investigating, developing and implementing new test instructions

Required Skills and Experiences

\xc3\x82\xc2\xb7Experience with assembly and troubleshooting Optical, Electronic and/or Mechanical devices

\xc3\x82\xc2\xb7Understanding of techniques in the use of hand tools and optical bench practices

\xc3\x82\xc2\xb7Ability to use a variety of electronics and optical measuring devices

\xc3\x82\xc2\xb7Positive attitude and able to perform in a high-paced/technical environment

Desired Experience & Education

\xc3\x82\xc2\xb72 - 5 years previous related work experience in the Electro-Optical field/ Electronics field

\xc3\x82\xc2\xb7Electronics, Robotics or Optronics/Photonics College Diploma

\xc3\x82\xc2\xb7Experience with Lean Manufacturing an asset

\xc3\x82\xc2\xb7Experience with FOD and ESD principles an asset

\xc3\x82\xc2\xb7Understanding of video and light transmission an asset
