Summary:



The Electronics Technician is a working technician role responsible for organizing and troubleshooting return merchandise authorization (RMA) and production failures efficiently and effectively within the Technical Services team. The Electronics Technician is responsible for communicating with the appropriate personnel, including but not limited to, Product Managers, RMA Coordinator, Production, and Quality Management team members, while facilitating the troubleshoot and repair of Printed Circuit Board Assemblies (PCBA's).

Job Duties:



Responsible for performing troubleshooting, full inspections and repairs as required. Ensure that proper tools and processes are utilized. Maintain knowledge of equipment being used, standard operating procedures and processing operations. Utilizes a variety of test equipment that are not limited to Digital multi-meter, oscilloscope, slide scope, microscope, X-ray inspection machine and LCR meter, for investigation of hardware malfunctions in accordance with company Standard Operating Procedures. Analyzes and interprets functional test data. Order parts needed to perform any repairs. Maintain repair logs to keep track of defects for future reference. Maintains confidentiality of documents and processes. Work with X-rays station to determine solder joint integrity. Perform all job functions in a safe and healthy manner, abiding by and in accordance with all applicable Health, Safety and Environmental company policies and government legislation/regulations. Monitors hardware test failures. Work with production, logistics, design engineers, quality control, process engineering and end customers to improve product quality and manufacturing processes. Test failure evaluation and propose remedies for all customer products. Work with program managers to improve product and test quality both at MARA and customer. Writes technical reports and develops charts, graphs for defect analysis. Responsible for RMA evaluation, repair, re-work, documentation, communicating with customers, and tracking.

Education & Experience:



Engineering degree or Technician diploma required. Bachelors in Electronics Engineering considered a strong asset Minimum 2-years' experience in technical services in an electronics manufacturing industry

Skills & Abilities:



Strong understanding of electronics manufacturing processes. Good organizational, time management and prioritizing tasks to establish reasonable and attainable deadlines for resolution. Ability to interpret and implement company policies and procedures. Experience installing, configuring and working with different operating systems. Ability to prioritize and manage several milestones and projects efficiently. Highly detail-oriented and strong organizational skills Able to effectively communicate in English, verbally and in writing

Pay: From $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
