Job Description

Sirius Instrumentation and controls Inc. is seeking Electronics Engineering Technologist to keep pace with expanding product development. Reporting to the Operations Engineer, the successful candidate will provide technical support for the electronic products.

Specific Responsibilities:



Provides support to engineering and operations group. Familiar with board assembly process and product process flow. Knowledge of Lean principles and ISO 9001 processes. Ability to set up, operate, calibrate and program various machines on shop floor. Ability to troubleshoot problems down to the component level. Ability to read schematics and assembly drawings. Flash firmware/software and prepare prototypes for testing. Writes technical manuals and edit schematics with Orcad. Procuring and managing BOM for electronics components. Proficient soldering skills, hands on soldering of SMD components. Use hand tools, power tools, or precision instruments to test equipment. Working knowledge of analog and digital circuits and associated test equipment ( Oscilloscopes, multimeters, etc.)

Qualifications:



Diploma

in Electrical Engineering Technology, Electronics Engineering Technology, or a related field.

5+ years of hands-on experience

in electrical and electronics troubleshooting, assembly, and repair. Knowledge of

workplace safety procedures

, safe handling of electrical components, and best practices in electrical installations. Ability to

read and interpret electrical and electronic schematics and design drawings

.

Proficiency in MS Word and Excel

for documentation and reporting. Experience with VFD/PLC programming would be an asset.
