About the role:
We are looking for an experienced and well-rounded Electronics Engineer to join our team on a full-time basis. As an Electronics Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, developing, testing, and optimizing our next generations' products to meet customer specifications, exceeding quality standards and surpassing customer expectations. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams including design, manufacturing, and marketing to bring products ideas from concept to market.
Key responsibilities:
Collaborate with product managers and designers to define product requirements and specifications.
Help with the development, design, and prototyping of new products.
Perform detailed analysis and testing to ensure product functionality, quality, and performance meet both internal and industry standards.
Optimize product designs for manufacturability, cost-effectiveness, and scalability.
Provide technical support and resolve any engineering-related issues that arise during product development and production.
Conduct regular product evaluations and implement improvements based on feedback from stakeholders and customers.
Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Prior experience in product design specifically related to sizing energy storage, batteries charging/discharging circuits for low voltage electronic devices.
Prior experience in the design of automated systems for monitoring battery usage, detection of faults and implementation of protective systems.
Experience in design, assembly, programming, and troubleshooting of embedded circuits.
Experience in programming microcontrollers for applications such as battery charging systems and/or actuator control.
Experience in micro-soldering is an asset.
Self-motivated individual with an entrepreneurial spirit.
Strong analytical/problem solving skills and ability to use statistical tools and techniques.
Flexibility and comfort working in a quickly changing environment.
May be required to travel throughout Canada and US whenever the need arises to complete other time sensitive projects.
