AlphaDesk is LSEG\xe2\x80\x99s Order and Portfolio Management Software. AlphaDesk develops and supports the software for hedge funds and asset managers globally. We are a diverse team with good technical skills, and the quality of our software and client services is at the core of our business.The Electronic Trading team within AlphaDesk is responsible for all trading connectivity across our client base. The breadth and scope of our connectivity is a key component of our growth. As an Electronic Trading Specialist within this team, you will be responsible for setting up and certifying FIX connections, providing level 2 support on FIX issues, and maintaining our FIX infrastructure. The team works with external vendors and clients as well as internally with the implementation, development, and client services teams. The ideal candidate will demonstrate both technical and interpersonal skills.Responsibilities:

• Prioritize and complete complex FIX integrations with global vendors \xe2\x80\x93 including collecting requirements proactively, setting up connections, devising appropriate test plans, certifying/testing, and co-ordinating with development, as needed.
• Provide exceptional and responsive level 2 support for FIX issues and inquiries within day-to-day operations.
• Assist with maintaining FIX infrastructure \xe2\x80\x93 ensure reliability & load balancing, and test & deploy upgrades with development.
• Assist with building out and testing strategic new FIX capabilities in co-ordination with product management.
• Configure and maintain QA environments supporting internal testing and certification activities.
• Train client services and new associates to increase team capabilities.

Requirements:

• 1+ years of experience in financial software in a technical or professional services role.
• Experience executing on technical processes.
• Expertise in FIX (4.2 and above)
• Competence in SQL, XML, networking, log reading, scenario reproduction, and operating systems.
• Strong understanding of buy-side trading workflows and global financial markets (multi-asset).
• Responsive and concise communication, especially when providing status updates, translating requirements, and communicating any roadblocks or project delays.
• Ability to learn quickly and adapt skills into each new project or technical challenge.
• Proactive in learning new skills and seeking more challenging work, sometimes outside core responsibilities.
