Job Description

We are looking for an Electronic Designer / Engineer with experience in the design and development of new products from concept to prototype and initial manufacturing, preferably in solid-state lighting. The ideal candidate will be a team player with a focus on adhering to robust design methodologies resulting in innovative products and overall successful project execution.Products are to be designed for a variety of architectural applications such as Indoor Cove Lighting, Accent Lighting, Wall Washing & Wall Grazing, Back Lighting Applications, as well as similar outdoor applications.Responsibilities: As an Electronic Designer your role will be to participate in activities related to product development, product optimization, and improvements in current components and assembly practices of architectural lighting products. Develop an understanding of the interactive behavior of all components involved in a lighting fixture Design electrical / electronic solutions by studying customer requirements, incorporating industry standards, researching & testing of manufacturing and assembly methods & materials Create electrical and electronic CAD drawings, PCB layouts, renderings, instruction sheets, specifications, bills of material and costing Prototyping, narrowing on the right components, best optimal output for the product material with best pricing. Identifying and optimising electrical accessories eg. cables, wires, connectors etc, with regard to the products. Work with current and new suppliers for products and parts Based on technical specifications sheet, MSDS, installation guides and other relevant literature compile component wise best practices for application Good understanding of FMEA principles - predict, mitigate and fix failure modes based on analytic understanding Create test documents and best practices document for use of electronic materials in different applications Write and complete test and lab reports Perform research oriented technical tasks in accordance with the work instructions and directives provided by product manager, research lead and production Responsible for preparing work instructions and communicating them to the concerned team members and verifying and approval of documents prepared before publishing Perform any other tasks related to the nature of these responsibilities in collaboration with the product managers, research Leads and designers Requirements Designing electronic circuits for different typed of dimming protocols like DALI, 0-10V, TRIAC etc.Education Required Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related fieldQualification Requirements:

• Minimum 2 to 4 years' experience in electronic product design, preferably in the lighting industry
• A solid understanding of engineering and electrical design principles, and solutions development capability
• Good problem-solving skills, including hands-on debugging of electronic circuits
• Expertise in electronic CAD software
• Experience with software development processes using 8/16/32bit microcontrollers (Microchip, Infineon)
• Manufacturing experience
• Knowledge of LED technology, low voltage systems, UL and other testing agencies are preferred
• Organized and detail oriented
• Resourcefulness and ability to work both independently and as part of a team
