You will be responsible for the assembly, testing and installation of key electrical components including control panels, PLCs, electric motors and solenoid switches.

Responsibilities:
Under the supervision of the Production Manager, the
Electromechanical Technician
will:
Assemble, test and install key electrical components including control panels, PLCs, electric motors and solenoid switches.
Work in a team with the Production Manager and other production specialists to prepare for production runs by staging parts and preparing the workspace.
Assist with general product testing and quality assurance.
Occasionally support customers with technical service requests by phone or email.
Monitor supply inventory and coordinate with manager and / or purchaser to restock supplies as needed using email and / or Spire inventory management software.
Prepare products for shipment with cleaning, paint touch ups, packing, etc.
Lead in the maintenance of a safe and organize workspace by cleaning up before and after production runs, cleaning work surfaces, sweeping floors, etc.
Support the production team with other relevant production and mechanical support duties.

Required Skills/Experience:
Hands-on experience building or working with electrical control systems or control panels
Basic understanding of electrical wiring diagrams strongly preferred
Experience with basic power tools used in electrical installations - power drills, etc.
Verbal and written English skills

Experience in a team-oriented environment preferred (retail, restaurant, volunteer)
Experience in a production / assembly line environment preferred (restaurant, manufacturing, volunteer)
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities
Standing for extended periods
Occasionally handling heavy loads up to 50 lbs.
Bending, crouching, kneeling
Working in occasionally noisy environment
