We are seeking a hands-on and self-driven Electromechanical Technician to join our team on a 1-month contract basis, with the possibility of extension. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in the automotive or EV sector, who can hit the ground running and contribute immediately in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
You will be responsible for wiring, harnessing, control panel assembly, and other electromechanical tasks. The ideal candidate will have an entrepreneurial mindset, a can-do attitude, and be comfortable working independently on a variety of projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Assemble, install, and test electrical wiring and harnesses for automotive EV systems.
Perform control panel assembly and integration using schematics and wiring diagrams.
Use a variety of hand and power tools for daily assembly and maintenance tasks.
Collaborate with engineers and technicians to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
Work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high standards of organization and documentation.
Lift and handle components up to 50 lbs as part of the physical requirements.
Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient work environment.
Qualifications:
2-3 years of experience in electromechanical field, preferably within the EV or automotive industry.
Proven experience with wiring, harnessing, mechanical assembly, and control panel fabrication.
Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
Experience using hand tools, power tools, and basic diagnostic equipment.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks with strong attention to detail.
Strong organizational skills and an entrepreneurial mindset are highly valued.
Education:
Degree or diploma in Electromechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, Mechatronics, or a related technical field.
Additional Requirements:
Ability to lift and maneuver up to 50 lbs regularly.
Must be authorized to work in Canada.
Willingness to work on-site daily in an office/shop environment.
