Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Electro-Mechanical Technician to assist in the assembly, wiring, testing, and servicing of our custom machinery. The ideal candidate will be hands-on, detail-oriented, and experienced in both mechanical assembly and electrical troubleshooting.
This position bridges mechanical fabrication and electrical integration -- ensuring that every machine leaving our facility is fully functional, safe, and production-ready.
Key Responsibilities
Assemble mechanical and electrical components of custom machinery, including hydraulic systems, conveyors, and automated tables.
Wire control panels, sensors, and actuators based on electrical schematics and engineering drawings.
Perform functional testing and troubleshooting of electrical and hydraulic systems.
Diagnose faults in wiring, motors, relays, and PLC-based control systems.
Assist in field installation, setup, and commissioning of machinery when required.
Collaborate with mechanical designers and electrical engineers to implement design revisions or improvements.
Maintain documentation for testing, quality checks, and system calibration.
Follow all safety protocols and ensure compliance with ESA and internal safety standards.
Qualifications
College diploma or technical certification in Electro-Mechanical Engineering Technology, Industrial Maintenance, or equivalent field.
2-5 years of relevant hands-on experience in machinery assembly or equipment manufacturing.
Strong knowledge of 24VDC and 575VAC systems, control wiring, and motor circuits.
Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics (AutoCAD/Inventor familiarity is an asset).
Experience with PLC systems, sensors, relays, contactors, and VFDs.
Basic understanding of hydraulics and pneumatics.
Demonstrated mechanical aptitude -- proficient with hand tools, measuring instruments, and machine assembly techniques.
Self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently or as part of a small production team.
