Our growing company is currently looking to hire Journeyman and Apprentice Electricians to join our team, based out of our Kitimat, BC office. With our diverse geographic footprint, our Electricians may travel to various locations and work different shift types.The ideal candidate will have experience in the Oil and Gas industry, a safety conscious mentality and are willing to learn and grow within CDN Controls. Responsibilities:
As our Electrician you will be responsible for:

  • Adhere to all company environmental, heath, and safety policies and procedures.
  • Complete cutting, threading, bending, and assembling rigid, aluminum and conduit systems.
  • Install and maintain EMT and PVC piping systems, batteries, solar panels, voltage regulators, MCC equipment, heat trace, and VFD’s.
  • Assist and/or direct interpreting drawings, circuit diagrams, and electrical code specifications to better help execute electrical installation and troubleshooting.
  • Understand and inter-operate the most current Canadian electrical code book and exercise the rules when applicable.
  • Understand and execute basic circuit fundamentals, alternating current circuit properties, heating and cooling systems, magnetic control and switching circuits, three phase systems, transformers, machines, control and switching/PLC, fire alarm systems, red seal programs, industry network, and applications of electronics.
  • Test electrical equipment and components for current, voltage and OHMS.
  • Responsible for all administrative, material ordering, and QAQC documents directly associated with the project at hand.
  • Other duties as required.
Qualifications:
  • Indentured 1st- 4th Year Apprentice or Red Seal Journeyman Electrician.
  • A valid Class 5 license with a clean driver abstract.
  • Valid H2S, First Aid, OSSA Fall Protection, Aerial Work Platform, CSO, and CSTS.
  • Experience in the Oil and Gas industry in construction or maintenance is considered an asset.
  • Ability to work in various working conditions ranging from outdoors to indoors in a variety of weather conditions and working from heights as needed.
  • A pre-employment drug and alcohol test is required prior to employment.
