THE OPPORTUNITY
With exciting new opportunities and partnerships, Impact is seeking an
Electrical Quality Control Inspector,
to join our Industrial Team. The Quality Control Inspector will be responsible for ensuring all electrical installations meet Impact Energy standards, client requirements, and CEC code & Sask. Power requirements. This role involves conducting inspections, documenting findings, and working closely with project managers, site supervisors, and electricians to maintain quality and safety throughout all project phases. You will also manage client's expectations, to ensure Impact Energy's brand promise of being the most responsive, trusted and professional electrical contractor is upheld.
Our team would love to hear from you if you have:
Hold a valid Interprovincial Electrical Red Seal Certification.
Previous experience in electrical inspection, quality control, or related field within the construction or industrial sectors.
Strong knowledge of electrical codes, standards, and best practices (CEC, CSA, etc.).
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics.
Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and documentation skills, both written and verbal.
Proficiency with inspection tools, testing instruments, and reporting software.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced construction environment.
Ensuring all safety certifications are up to date and valid.
Willing to work away from home for periods of time.
Complete a Criminal Record Check.
Valid and clean class 5 drivers license, endorsements are an asset.
Complete a 9-Panel Drug & Alcohol Test, upon employment and as required.
THE WORK
You will be responsible for leading inspection excellence by:
Ability to define and create inspection points with E&I assets with scoping drawings.
Perform inspections of electrical systems, equipment, and installations to verify compliance with design specifications, drawings, and applicable codes (CEC, CSA, etc.).
Review and interpret electrical plans, technical drawings, and specifications to ensure accuracy and quality standards are met.
Identify and document non-conformances, deficiencies, or deviations and follow up on corrective actions.
Conduct routine quality checks during all stages of construction and installation (rough-in, pre-commissioning, final testing).
Prepare detailed inspection reports, maintain records of tests, and provide feedback to project management.
Track asset inspections and % complete with pass/fail rate.
Track Rework HRs.
Create and own Punchlists.
Inspect and provide Quality Surveillance Reports.
Verify proper use of materials, tools, and equipment according to manufacturer and safety standards.
Assist in commissioning and final acceptance testing of electrical systems.
Collaborate with site supervisors, engineers, and project managers to resolve technical and quality issues.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations during inspections.
Participate in internal and external audits as required. Ensure ITP is completed and Create Turnover Package.
Initiate and Attend Walkdowns with Client.
Provide Quality Bulletins Company Wide.
Ensure Technical Training is up to date (3M Training etc).

Quality Control Inspector rate starts at $46.00, with wage reflecting experience.
