Electrical Project Manager/Estimator

Sid Grabell Contracting is growing, and we're adding an electrical Project Manager / Estimator to our team. This position requires someone who is detail oriented, results-driven, and excels at building trust-based relationships. Applicants should be a licensed electrician who has project management and estimating experience.

SGC has built a reputation for making it happen, delivering high performance solutions for clients across multiple sectors including steel, food, oil & gas, waste management and fabrication industries. We specialize in heavy industrial, high voltage, automation and civil power distribution.

Responsibilities:

Estimate project costs including labour, equipment and materials.

Negotiate pricing with vendors

Plan material, labour and equipment requirements for each job

Plan, assign, direct and monitor on site work

Provide clear direction and support to field staff assigned to projects

Ensure compliance with the Ontario Electrical Safety Code, Ontario Construction Regulations and Health & Safety standards

Deliver a high level of customer service throughout the project lifecycle

Qualifications

Electrical Journeyman or Master Electrician with 5+ years' experience

Experience with heavy industrial and construction is preferred

Proven experience as a project manager / estimator

In-depth understanding of construction procedures, material and project management principles

In-depth knowledge of electrical systems and Ontario Electrical Safety Code

Comprehensive knowledge of the Ontario Construction Regulations and Health and Safety Act

Excellent communication and negotiation skills

Excellent organization, time-management and multitasking skills

Critical thinking and problem-solving skills

Exceptional attention to detail

Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills

Leadership skills and the ability to build trust-based relationships with customers
