We are looking for an Electrical & Instrumentation Tradesperson to join our dynamic team at Lake Utopia Paper based in St. George, New Brunswick (located approximately 40 minutes outside the city of Saint John)As an Electrical & Instrumentation Tradesperson, you will be part of a crew of approximately 15 electrical & instrumentation tradespeople throughout the mill.Who We Are:Our team operates within a highly technical, fast paced, competitive business and is part of an integrated forest products value chain under J.D. Being curious and focused on innovation is key to a successful team.We operate four Pulp and Paper Mills out of Saint John and St. George, New Brunswick that produce a combined one million tonnes of product and employ over 1000 employees.Qualifications:The ideal candidate will possess both an Industrial Electrical Journeyperson License and an Instrumentation Journeyperson License. One Journeyperson License could also be considered, or possibly an Apprentice who is a graduate of a recognized Industrial Controls Program.Industrial experience in a similar industry would be considered an assetThe ideal candidate will be familiar with Plant Instrumentation and Electrical systems, Emerson and Foxboro Distributed Control Systems, Programmable Logic Controllers, and Variable Speed Drives.Candidates should possess a working knowledge of high voltage switchgear, transformers and system protection, as well as computer experienceThe Candidate should be a self-motivated team player with strong personal drive and good interpersonal skills.Key Responsibilities:Perform all aspects of electrical and instrumentation maintenance and repairs at our Lake Utopia Paper MillPerform required troubleshooting, programming, and system improvements or expansions with our distributed control system and associated equipment.Assist in continuous process control improvements though instrument tuning and system program changes.We Have:
