We are currently seeking a highly motivated Electrical & Instrumentation EIT to join our Project Delivery Group (PDG) in our Vancouver office. This position will be a shared resource for our North America offices. Our Project Delivery Group (PDG) helps clients reach their business goals through a range of strong technical capabilities. Our engineering disciplines ensure safe, efficient, and sustainable delivery of projects globally across the metals and mining, and energy sectors.

About the role

The Electrical & Instrumentation EIT will work under the supervision of senior engineers and designers on feasibility/basic engineering study and/or EPCM projects. Responsibilities include:

  • Designing and preparing electrical and instrumentation deliverables.
  • Preparing material take-offs and scopes of work.
  • Developing a good working relationship with internal groups such as other Engineering disciplines, Drafting, Project Management to support various projects etc.
Qualifications

About you
  • Working towards a registration with the Engineers and Geoscientists of British Columbia (EGBC).
  • 0 - 2 years of experience.
  • Previous co-op or work experience in the electrical and power engineering design and execution in the heavy industry will be considered an asset.
  • Good understanding of engineering and business fundamentals as they apply to engineering problems and projects.
  • Ability to learn quickly and to take on new challenges.
  • Collaborative team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to details.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Adapts and embraces change.
  • Good working knowledge of MS Office. A working knowledge of AutoCAD is an asset.
  • Technical experience with electrical software such as ETAP is an asset.
  • Shows critical and creative thinking and problem solving, and brings forward solutions for our clients\' toughest challenges.
  • Become knowledgeable with electrical design and their practical applications, regional codes and standards (CSA, NEC, IEC, etc.), various engineering design tools and applications, and Ausenco\xe2\x80\x99s quality procedures.
  • Willing and able to travel to project sites (office and construction) including remote site locations.
