Electrogas is an expanding Safety Equipment company which specializes in Gas Detection and Safety Supplies across Canada. We are looking for mature individuals with a strong work ethic and ability to work independently in a professional, fast-paced environment to join our team.

We are seeking an experienced, knowledgeable, and motivated Field Service Technician operating out of our Abbotsford branch.
Duties & Responsibilities include but not limited to:
Diagnostics, calibration and repair of gas detection equipment.
Inspection of ventilation and connected components
Troubleshoot controls wiring
Install and repair electrical equipment and fixtures in accordance with the CEC.
Troubleshoot electrical issues and perform necessary repairs.
Collaborate with other tradespeople, such as HVAC and refrigeration technicians, to ensure smooth system operation
Keep accurate records of all work performed, including materials used and time spent on each project
Adhere to all quality and safety codes
Completing deficiency reports for estimation
Scheduling and communicating with customers or site contacts
Reconciling and maintaining field service Inventory
Data entry
Possible after hours on call - rotation schedule
Onsite work
Willing to work out of town, longer shifts, and/or evening shifts.
Various duties as requested by Supervisor and Management
Qualifications:
Must be able to be registered as an apprentice through SkilledTrades BC.
Electrical field experience is required.
Commercial/residential construction experience an asset
Basic hand tools and cordless power tools
Adequate knowledge of the CEC
Previous experience and knowledge of gas detection equipment would be considered an asset
Applicants must hold a valid Class 5 driver's license with a clean abstract, as this role requires driving company vehicles for regular onsite commitments
