We are looking for Intermediate and Senior level Electrical Technologists or Engineers to join any of our office locations in Dartmouth NS, Ottawa ON, or Victoria BC.

As an Electrical Engineering Technologist or Engineer, you will play a critical role in the Fleetway Engineering team that provides engineering and consulting services to both the Government and Commercial sector including the Canadian Navy. Our engineering team are respected in the industry through their proven hands-on experience in marine engineering environments and their ability to provide solutions to client engineering design challenges.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Education: Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Electrical Engineering OR Electrical Engineering Technology Diploma (P.Eng or CET considered an asset)
  • 4+ years of Electrical Engineering experience in progressively increasing roles
  • Experience with MicroStation is considered an asset as it is our primary engineering software, however, if you are well versed in AutoCAD or other modelling software, we would like to hear from you
  • Experience building and maintaining electrical models with ETAP considered an asset
  • You will be working in MS Office Suite regularly, intermediate to advanced experience is considered a strong asset
  • You will be working in a collaborative, team environment with team members located across the country. We are looking for someone with strong interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Experience in working with Naval Warships and/or within the shipbuilding industry is considered an asset
Key Responsibilities and Outcomes:
  • As an Electrical Engineering Technologist/Engineer, you will perform load calculations, voltage drop, protective device selection/coordination and cable sizing
  • Evaluate Electrical/Control systems, products, and components and provide single line drawings for various systems
  • Able to develop technical studies, drawings and specifications
  • Write reports and recommend equipment selection
  • Incorporate Engineering Changes into existing designs
  • Involvement in systems integration projects
  • Manage, coordinate and review the work of junior engineers/technologists
