We are seeking a talented Electrical Engineer with extensive hardware design and integration experience for an exciting opportunity with our client in Burlington, Ontario.

The Electrical Engineer will be a critical member of the Hardware Design team, responsible for managing all electrical aspects of large custom engineering/manufacturing projects from concept to completion. In the short term, this individual will be in a senior capacity, but we are ideally looking for somebody with strong leadership skills who can ultimately take on management of the department. This is an exciting opportunity to join a very successful industry leader with a global project base, while also taking your engineering and management career to the next level.

Qualified candidates will have extensive experience in electrical hardware and panel design, industrial automation, hardware development, and more, with at least 7 years of relevant project-based experience in custom engineering/manufacturing environments. Knowledge of AutoCAD Electrical & EPLAN is critical for success in this role, as is strong familiarity with Electrical Codes (NFPA79, NEC, CEC, CSA and IEC/EN).

Required Qualifications :

• Electrical Engineering or related Degree with 10+ years of relevant experience

• Expert level knowledge of low voltage power distribution drive panels, PLC control panels, and industrial automation

• Hardware experience is a must-have, candidates with software only will NOT be considered

• Strong leadership and project management skils

• P. Eng and/or PMP designation highly desireable
