Koch Fertilizer Canada, ULC is currently searching for an Electrical Engineering Manager (Projects and Reliability) to join our team in Brandon, MB!!!

This position offers exposure to a variety of electrical equipment and associated control systems while being conforming to the fundamentals of electrical load flow, coordination, arc flash, short circuit, hazardous location studies, and reliability analysis. The successful candidate will drive and deliver projects and reliability improvement initiatives that support the business needs. Further, the position will lead and implement an objective based and measurable electrical capital project delivery and reliability program, while supporting capacity enhancements/reliability improvements. The role offers opportunities for training courses in engineering, supervision, and management to support personal development and business needs. The successful candidate will manage and perform as a member of a high-performing team. The individual will also lead opportunities to develop industry knowledge and experience.

Based in Brandon, Manitoba, we synthesize and blend nitrogen, phosphate, and sulfur products with ammonia, which we market primarily in the prairie provinces of Canada and the northern United States. Operating 24 hours a day, 365 days per year, we employ approximately 270 dedicated team members. Our fundamental commitment to safety, health, and environmental stewardship drives all our processes.

Koch Fertilizer, LLC and its affiliates own or have interests in Nitrogen Fertilizer plants in the United States, Canada, Trinidad and Tobago, and Venezuela. What You Will Do

• Manage a cross functional electrical team. Determine and deliver comparative advantage amongst staff and foster growth in employees as well as cross-site partnerships
• Manage electrical infrastructure studies. Recommend initiatives and projects that support the business based on their findings
• Lead the team to support execution of electrical scopes for projects and reliability improvement initiatives by ensuring timely and adequate subject matter expertise support
• Lead plant electrical improvement initiatives. Provide feedback and guidance during capital project portfolio development.
• Strategize and lead in the development of electrical specifications for new equipment based on current site and corporate specifications and business needs.
• Lead or assign the review of new electrical designs to ensure compliance, maintenance, operability, and reliability.
• Implement and drive the Mechanical Integrity Program aligned with company objectives while being considerate of the site\'s emerging needs.
• Assure compliance and adherence to processes, industry codes and standards, quality systems, policies, and contractual requirements.
• Ensure reliability needs for new equipment and repaired equipment are understood, communicated, tracked, and implemented.
• Lead team of the subject matter experts for timely support of the maintenance team in troubleshooting of malfunctions and complex repairs.
• Work with Maintenance, Operations and Plant Engineering to determine alternatives and provide guidance during problem analysis. Work to find the best fit for purpose solution that supports the needs of the business.
• Provide input for planning and scheduling of the plant outages. Develop and plan major turnaround scope.
• Develop site specific KPIs and benchmark.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

• Electrical Engineering Degree OR Diploma OR Valid Interprovincial Red Seal Certificate as an Industrial Electrician
• Five (5) years of project management, design engineering, maintenance management experience working with AC and DC motors and generators, transformers, rectifiers, electronic controls and regulators, control systems and circuits, control panels, electronic gauges and detectors, circuit breakers, transistors, production equipment conduit and fittings, wire, and cables
• Experience troubleshooting electrical equipment and systems
• Experience providing leadership complemented by the drive to deliver results
• Experience with computer aided tools and software to support responsibilities.
