Electrical Engineer
The Electrical Engineer will be the lead person responsible for providing project support on electrical details to the project team. Job Duties
Support the project team in all aspects of the electrical scope.
Review designs, shop drawings, specifications and technical documents for accuracy.
Review subtrade contracts and scope of work.
Review and understand M&E potential design challenges and support the project team with design solutions to reduce change orders and delays.
Review schedules and potential risks.
Work with the Consultants and Engineers on the project scope and schedule.
Review and support electrical Change Orders.
Support the project team on BIM.
Review subcontractor and supplier progress claims.
Participate in project meetings and with the commissioning team.
Prepares deficiency reports and confirms successful resolution of all deficiencies.
Conduct formal engineering risk assessments when appropriate and make recommendations.
Create and maintain engineering documentation in accordance with industry standards.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering required with a P.Eng designation in good standing.
Knowledge of industry regulatory standards.
Ability to interpret mechanical and electrical drawings/schematics.
Experience in design coordination.
Proficiency in AutoCAD software and other engineering tools.
Strong problem-solving skills and excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and deadlines.
Able to lead and mentor EIT's.
