About the Role

We are looking for an Electrical Designer to join our team and contribute to the design and coordination of electrical systems for various projects. The ideal candidate will have experience in electrical consulting, a strong understanding of power distribution and lighting design, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare electrical drawings, specifications, and documentation for building projects.

Design power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and communication systems.

Perform electrical load calculations and coordinate with utility providers.

Work closely with architects, mechanical engineers, and contractors to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems.

Review project documentation for compliance with codes and industry standards.

Participate in site visits and inspections to assess project progress and resolve design issues.

Qualifications & Skills

EIT designation preferred (but not required).

2+ years of experience in electrical design within a consulting construction environment.

Strong understanding of Canadian Electrical Code (CEC) and BC Building Code.

Proficiency in AutoCAD or Revit design software.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams.

The typical hiring range for this position is

from $72,000-84,000 annually; the base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
