What You'll Be Doing:Design and develop electrical control systems for equipment and machinery
Provide technical guidance and support during design, installation, and commissioning
Test and troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, and other electrical/pneumatic/mechanical systems
Support Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and provide remote support for field service
Perform Proof of Concept activities for advanced projects
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design automated assembly lines
Maintain documentation for new and existing equipment
Lead and participate in continuous improvement initiatives
Ensure compliance with ISO, CSA, UL, and Johnson Electric policies and standards
What We're Looking For:Post-secondary education in Electrical Engineering/Design (Mechatronics, Industrial, or Electromechanical disciplines)
Minimum of 4 years of experience as an Electrical Designer with EPLAN software
Strong knowledge of CSA, UL, and industrial robot system safety/compliance
Expertise in PLC/HMI systems and system control
Experience commissioning machines, including IO checkout, Ethernet IP setup, machine safety configuration, and troubleshooting
Ability to read and create electrical prints and apply controls/design principles
Strong Microsoft Office skills; SolidWorks experience (pneumatic/mechanical drawings) is an asset
Independent, hands-on, and self-motivated professional
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
High level of integrity, dependability, and urgency
Bonus Points If You Have:Hands-on mechanical/electrical troubleshooting experience
Experience leading or mentoring other designers
Advanced automation project exposure
