Job Summary

RIC Power Corporation is a dynamic manufacturer of custom medium and low voltage switchgear, including protection and control systems, for the Canadian and the US market.

We thrive on building high-quality, custom equipment and we're looking for an Electrical Design Engineer to join our team in Burnaby, BC.

Responsibilities

Under the guidance of senior staff, create and modify electrical design packages which may include, but are not limited to, one-line diagrams, three-line diagrams, low-voltage distribution, control schematics, wiring diagrams, and bills of material. Collaborate with senior engineers and project managers to ensure project specifications are met. Provide technical support to the quality assurance team and shop floor from a technical perspective. Participate in project meetings and communicate with stakeholders to clarify requirements. Support the development and review of technical documentation.

Requirements

Diploma, bachelor's degree in electrical engineering. A minimum of 3 years of proven direct detailed design experience in MV protection & control projects within Canada/United States. Familiarity with CEC and IEEE/ANSI medium voltage switchgear standards. Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar design software.
