KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Project Leadership: Take ownership of assigned projects, managing final unit assembly, mounting, and testing of electrical panels according to internal protocols.
Precision Wiring: Read and interpret complex wiring diagrams, mechanical assembly drawings, and schematics to wire control and power circuits.
Mentorship & Training: Proactively lead and mentor new hires on safe equipment operation, safe wiring practices, and rigorous testing procedures.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Interact with Engineering, Drafting, Purchasing, and Fabrication to support production runs and prototype realizations.
Operational Excellence: Track and manage shop tasks to meet or exceed production goals while suggesting improvements to increase shop efficiency.
Quality & Safety: Ensure the highest standard of workmanship for all assemblies and maintain a "Safety First" environment, including shop cleanliness and tool maintenance.
Resource Management: Assist with inventory management and requisitions for supplies, ensuring resources are used efficiently with limited waste.
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE:
Education: Engineering Technician/Technology Diploma (Electrical) or a Journeyman Electrician designation.
Experience: 1 to 2 years of hands-on experience in electrical assembly or industrial electrical environments.
Technical Literacy: Expert ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and wiring diagrams to prioritize tasks.
Tool Proficiency: Experience using a variety of pneumatic and electrical power tools for mounting and assembly.
Leadership Qualities: Strong communication skills with the ability to lead project workflows and mentor junior staff.
Mindset: A detail-oriented, "Safety First" mentality with a drive to produce zero-defect workmanship.
