Canadian Crane is looking for an Electrical Assembly Assistant to join our team.

Skill Requirements: Education: Completion of high school or completion of college/ vocational or technical training

Experience: 3 years or more

Languages: English

Major Work Area: Maintenance, Service, Repair, Wiring Cranes, Control Panels

Type of Establishment/Work Setting Experience: Industrial, Crane Mfg.

Type of Equipment: Programmable logic controls and associated devices, Motors and controls, Control Panels, High voltage and energized equipment, Electronic devices, Conventional electrical devices, VFD

Specific Skills: Read and interpret wiring diagrams, drawings and specifications, Prepare layouts for machinery and controls, Install, replace and repair electrical controls and panel boxes, Splice, join and connect wires, Test and measure voltage, loads, ground faults integrity of circuits, Troubleshoot and isolate faults, Install surface mount and/or overhead cables, Conduct preventive maintenance programs

Additional Skills: Professionalism in customer service, Keep maintenance reports and documentation, ability to write reports neatly and precisely

Security and Safety: Valid driver's license, driving record check (abstract)

Own Tools/Equipment: Tools, Steel-toed safety boots

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, handling heavy loads, physically demanding, working at heights, ability to travel, occasional on-call

Work Site Environment: Indoor/Outdoors

Essential Skills: Reading text, document use, math & numeracy, writing, communication, working with others, problem solving, significant use of memory, finding information, continuous learning
