Job Description

Metcalfe Lighting is looking for an accountable, and motivated apprentice that would like the opportunity to fasten their electrical skills. This position requires working directly under a journeyman electrician and reporting back on a daily basis.

Most of our projects our located in the lower mainland area.

This position will mostly be involved with:

-Demolition of outdated existing lighting systems, and installing LED lighting systems

-loading and unloading material before and after days work is complete

-mounting brackets to fixtures

-electrical repairs at a variety of commercial and industrial sites including

Following is an asset but not a must:

EMT piping Panel work, installing and refitting Circuitry Commercial electrical systems and controls Knowledge of Seismic code Canadian Electrical Code Lighting, including HID, fluorescent and LED Lighting, commercial wall packs, shoebox, troffers, pot-lights and hi-bays Troubleshooting electrical issues Aerial platform, zoom and articulating, scissor and bucket truck Working off all sizes of ladders including extension ladders
Applicant must be willing to work flexible schedule including weekends and evenings when required.

Class 5 Driver's License Criminal record check Must be able to acquire security clearances Electric sign experience is a bonus

We service Commercial, Industrial, and Institutional industries in BC, specializing in LED lighting planning, installation and maintenance. Pay: $20.00-$30.00 per hour
