Our Team:

The Mines Technical Services (MTS) team is responsible for maintaining a variety of functions including mine planning, scheduling, surveying, backfill, ventilation, ground control, geology metrics tracking, production statistics data input/review, incentives administration, annual capital plan development, and operating and capital cost tracking for variances.

The Opportunity:

We are currently seeking an EIT II to join our to join our Integrated Operations team at Creighton Mine in Sudbury, Ontario. This is a permanent position.

As an Integrated Operations Scheduler, you will be accountable for the continuous improvement of the Integrated Operations Scheduling team\xe2\x80\x99s performance, through the effective use of established processes and procedures. You will also be accountable for the scheduling of all planned work for the Totten Mine operations.

Additionally, in this position, you will:

• Work Monday to Friday, 8-hour shift.
• Be a key member of the Integrated Operations Scheduling team to develop the mine (0-12 weeks) schedule for all operations (including production, fill, and shotcrete) utilizing resources.
• Liaison with the daily shift scheduler on the mine schedule and priorities and work with the operations planner closely to schedule required work.
• Coordinate and facilitate all required planning/scheduling routines. Contribute to and provide priority work by coordinating and scheduling all interactions based on priorities across departments (operations, maintenance, logistics, etc.).
• Identify and escalate all critical issues that threaten the successful execution of the \xe2\x80\x9cwork schedule\xe2\x80\x9d.
• Monitor KPIs and actively strive toward plant targets. Work with daily tracking of operations work execution and update metrics.
• Work within budget, guidelines, and standards.
• Establish and maintain work relationships with the various key plant stakeholders including superintendents, supervisors, other schedulers, planners, crew members, MTS, maintenance, etc.
• Track compliance to schedule.

About You

Education:

• College diploma or university degree in a related industrial field or a university degree in a related engineering discipline is preferred.

Experience:

• Minimum 3 years of experience working in a planning, scheduling, or reliability role.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in operations is required.

Skills:

• Ability to work with minimal supervision and work well with others in a team environment.
• Must have strong written and oral communication skills.
• Must be obsessed with safety and risk.
• Must demonstrate open and transparent dialogue in all aspects of work.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Products is required.
• Working underground experience is preferred.
