: Egyptian Charcoal Grill Maker (1)

Wages

: $36.00-$36.50 per hour for 30-40 hours per week

Job duties

Prepare and cook full course meals.

Work with Specialized cooking equipment (Charcoal Grills).

Specialization in preparing Egyptian charcoal grill dishes like Egyptian Kofta Mashwia, Charcoal Grilled Chicken (Farareej Mashri), Egyptian-Style Chicken Kebabs, Samak Mashwi-Grilled Fish, Egyptian Grilled Lamb Chops with Spiced Yogurt etc.

Specialization in preparing all kinds of Egyptian breads including Charcoal-infused flatbread (hawawshi).

Ensure the kitchen is fully prepped for service (e.g. cutting ingredients, preparing sauces, marinating, etc.)

Train kitchen helpers and assistant cooks on new cooking techniques specific to certain dishes.

Supervise and ensure food preparation in the kitchen is enough for lunch and dinner rushes.

Monitor sanitation practices to ensure that employees follow standards and regulations.

Coordinate activities of cooks engaged in food preparation.

Inspect supplies, equipment, or work areas to ensure conformance to established standards.

Order or requisition food or other supplies needed to ensure efficient operation.

Check the quantity and quality of received products.

Coordinate with cooks in the preparation, cooking, garnishing, and presentation of food.

Education:

Completion of Secondary School is required

Work Experience:

1-2 years experience of commercial cooking (grill making) required
