We are seeking experienced Physiotherapists or Athletic Therapists with a teaching or clinical education background to join our team as Educators for the Kin Studio Academy. This role involves delivering weekend onsite workshops following a structured curriculum created to integrate strength & conditioning, assessment, rehabilitation, and client communication skills.
About Kin Studio:
The Kin Studio is committed to advancing rehabilitation and performance by empowering recently registered COKO Kinesiologists with the knowledge and skills to excel in client care. Our Kin Studio Academy is a comprehensive training program blending evidence-based theory with hands-on practice, designed to build confidence and prepare candidates for real-world client work and employment with The Kin Studio.
Much of the curriculum content and materials have already been developed, offering a solid foundation. Educators will have the opportunity to review, provide input, and customize these materials to best fit their teaching style and the evolving needs of our candidates.
Program Highlights:
Target audience: Recently registered COKO Kinesiologists
Ongoing role as lead educator- taking all new hires through on-boarding training cycles
Program cycle length: Weeks 1-4 consist of intensive weekend workshops (2 days/weekend, approx. 6-7 hours per day)
Weeks 5-8 involve real-world client in-session experience and mentorship (2 days/week)
Pre-workshop virtual courses are completed by candidates to maximize practical learning onsite
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver theory and practical workshops onsite during weekend sessions
Facilitate interactive lectures, hands-on practice, role-plays, group discussions, and case studies
Assess participant progress through quizzes, practical exams, presentations, and reflective assignments
Review and customize existing curriculum materials to enhance engagement and effectiveness
Collaborate with the CEO to continuously improve program content and delivery
Support candidates in integrating virtual pre-workshop coursework with in-person sessions
Qualifications:
Registered Physiotherapist or Athletic Therapist with Canadian registration credentials
Demonstrated teaching, clinical education, or workshop facilitation experience
Strong understanding of strength & conditioning, rehabilitation, and client-centered coaching
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Passion for mentoring and developing emerging kinesiology professionals
