Job Title: Education Programs Facilitator

Wage: $22/hour (includes 4% vacation pay) + mileage compensation

Location: Greater Victoria Region with occasional work in other communities in South Vancouver Island

Type: Temporary Casual (Sept 17, 2025 - June 12, 2026, with possible extension)

As an Education Programs Facilitator, you'll play a vital role in empowering others while also growing your own skills through training opportunities like ASIST (Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training).

What You'll Do:



? Facilitate mental health and suicide prevention workshops in schools and community settings

? Build safe, compassionate spaces for meaningful conversations

? Support and mentor volunteer facilitators

? Participate in program planning and development

? Engage with schools, community partners, and internal teams to promote youth wellbeing

? Primarily weekday work within school hours, with occasional evenings or weekends

? Help break down mental health stigma while making a real impact in Greater Victoria and beyond.

What You Bring:



? Passion for youth mental health and suicide prevention

? Experience facilitating groups and leading meaningful conversations

? Strong communication and interpersonal skills

? Comfort with emotionally sensitive topics

? A current driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle

? ASIST Certification (or willingness to obtain before start date)

Additional Qualifications (Preferred but not required):

? Certification as an ASIST or SafeTALK trainer

? Knowledge of the school system and youth mental health

? Experience working with Google Suite, Microsoft Office, or social media

? Other relevant certifications (e.g., Mental Health First Aid)
