Position Summary:



Oxford College is seeking a knowledgeable and results-driven

Education Consultant

to lead the promotion and recruitment efforts for its

Information Technology

diploma programs. With the integration of Cybersecurity, Cloud, Data Analytics and AI in all our IT programs, opportunity fundamentally transforms traditional IT into a dynamic, proactive, and value-driven engine. This position requires a strong understanding of the Canadian and Global IT landscape, with direct experience in the field considered essential. The role involves advising prospective students, managing the admissions process, and achieving enrollment targets through relationship-building, market awareness, and strategic outreach.

Key Responsibilities:



Lead Generation and Prospecting:

Identify and connect with prospective students through community events, digital marketing, social media, alumni engagement, and referral networks. Participate in outreach initiatives to develop a consistent pipeline of qualified leads.
Relationship Development:

Establish and maintain professional relationships with prospective students, community organizations, and internal teams to support recruitment goals.
Program Expertise and Advising:

Demonstrate a deep understanding of Oxford College's Information Technology programs and related career outcomes within the Canadian IT sector and knowledge of Global IT sector. Clearly articulate program features, industry relevance, and pathways to employment in the Canadian job market.
Presentations and Engagement:

Deliver polished and informative presentations (virtually and in-person) to promote IT programs and guide students through decision-making.
Admissions Management:

Administer the full admissions process in accordance with institutional policies and provincial regulations. Ensure all application materials and documentation are accurately completed and submitted.
Ongoing Student Support:

Provide continued support and follow-up to applicants and incoming students to enhance satisfaction and engagement.
Sales Target Achievement:

Consistently achieve or surpass established recruitment and enrollment targets. Use data-driven strategies to refine outreach and improve performance metrics.
Market and Industry Awareness:

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current trends, technologies, and workforce demands in the Canadian Information Technology sector. Monitor competitor institutions and adapt recruitment strategies as needed.
Collaboration:

Collaborate with marketing, academic, and student services departments to ensure cohesive recruitment messaging and support services.
Reporting and Documentation:

Generate accurate reports and forecasts to inform management of enrollment trends and lead conversion progress.

Required Skills and Qualifications



A minimum of 2-3 years of direct experience in the Canadian Information Technology industry is required; candidates without relevant Canadian IT experience will not be considered. Demonstrated experience in education consulting, admissions, student recruitment, or consultative sales. Strong knowledge of IT career pathways, technologies, and industry certifications recognized in Canada. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to deliver presentations and engage with diverse audiences. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with prospective students and partners. Proven ability to manage leads, prioritize tasks, and maintain accurate records Effective problem-solving and decision-making skills. A bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred. Experience in teaching, training, or mentoring within the IT field is an asset.
