Education Assistant - FTE

Fraser Valley School is a non-denominational independent school in Surrey, BC. Fraser Valley School is looking for a full-time Education Assistant to support the Primary Years Programme.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Responsible for assisting young learners with learning challenges and supporting their programme (kindergarten to grade three)

Utilize the Primary Years Programme ideology (IB World School)

Provide support for learning activities and differentiation

Laisse with relevant professionals on goals, programs and strategies to be used to support learning

Supports and takes direction from the classroom teacher

Assist in collaborative planning with homeroom teachers and PYP Coordinator

Qualifications:
Completion of Education Assistant program (diploma or certificate)

First Aid Training

Full Criminal Record Clearance, endorsement to work with children

Experience in Elementary education is an asset

Confident and firm in expectations, demonstrates initiative and

Experience in inquiry based learning is an asset
