Our play-based program is seeking the right candidate for a Part or Full-Time position as an Education Assistant in Airdrie.

What You'll Be Doing:

Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that engage children in learning activities. Monitor and assess children's progress. Foster positive relationships with children, encouraging their social and emotional development. Incorporate technology into the classroom and as a tool for non-verbal students. Adapt teaching methods to accommodate children with working persons disabilities or special needs.
Qualified Candidates would hold a Level 1, 2, or 3 Childcare Certification from the Government of Alberta, a Certificate or Diploma in Early Childhood Education or Education Assistant or higher, valid First Aid + CPR C (or willing to obtain), plus ability to obtain a clean background clearance check with vulnerable sector search. Experience in the field is necessary, experience working with children with delays and disabilities is an asset.

Experience

Previous experience in childcare or early childhood education is preferred. Strong organizational skills to manage classroom activities and documentation effectively. Ability to work collaboratively with other educators and staff members. A passion for educating young children and a commitment to their well-being is essential.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 10 months

Pay: $18.50-$24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 - 30 per week
