Position: Editor (English)
Location: Ottawa, ON (Hybrid)
Salary: $60,000 to $65,000 annually
Job Type: To be started ASAP - Contract till December 2023 (contract extension is highly possible)

We are searching for an English Editor to join our client\'s amazing and dynamic team.
What\'s in it for you:

- Great salary range of $60,000 to $65,000

- Hybrid work model: only 1 day in-office a week
- No overtime, standard working hours, Monday-Friday (full-time)

Responsibilities:

- Ensure high-quality English versions of official documents and written products, undertaking substantive editing, copy editing, and proofreading
- Ensure quality of other types of products, including emails, web and social media content, articles, executive summaries, public statements, reports, meeting and seminar programs, sponsorship brochures, marketing materials, and press releases (other documents may include research papers, corporate documents, and professionalism-related content)
- Post documents and content to the client\'s website and help monitor social media and media channels
- Support the Manager Communications in receiving requests and responding to clients for editorial services

Requirements:

- Undergraduate degree in Communications, Translation, Journalism or comparable
- 3-5 years of progressive experience in English editing
- 1-2 years of project management experience, ideally in an editorial setting (an asset)
- Familiarity with desktop publishing tools, including Adobe Creative Suite
- Familiarity with Canadian Press style standards
- Professional-level editorial skills and high-level written and oral skills in English
