We are the largest retail building supply chain in Atlantic Canada with 48 locations from Saint John, New Brunswick to Corner Brook, Newfoundland and many towns and cities in between.

The successful candidate will join the eCommerce team and be responsible for handling calls and online chats from our customers. They will also help associates at our stores and shipping facility with processing online orders. The work environment is similar to a call center but working with a small and close knit team.

This position offers a great schedule with working hours matching that of the Kent Building Supplies stores, those with previous call center experience will enjoy the great work/ life balance our schedule offers.

Work location: Saint John Head Office or Moncton Store

Work hours: 20+ hours per week

Responsibilities

• Communicate with customers by answering calls to our 1-800 number and responding to chats made via our website
• Work with Fulfilment center to ensure superior service
• Work with our stores and shipping team to ensure orders are completed quickly and accurately
• Troubleshoot any issues our customers are experiencing with our website
• Assist store associates to deliver superior customer service
• Review and modify online orders using our internal systems
• Handle customer complaints by the best possible solution
• Learn the software systems used by the company to be able to effectively handle inquires from customers and stores
• Mark notes to record our interactions with customers and stores
• Be able to process orders, forms, applications, or requests

Qualifications:

• Ability to use email, chat, and other Microsoft programs (For instance: Word, Outlook)
• Prioritizes the Customer Experience
• Great communication skills
• Positive attitude
• Highly motivated with a bias toward action
• Ability to jump from one subject/project to the next quickly
• Organized
• Call center experience is an asset
• General proficiency in computers
• Bilingualism is an asset but not necessary
