Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented ECG Technician to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing electrocardiograms (ECGs) on patients, ensuring accurate readings and providing essential data to assist healthcare professionals in diagnosing heart conditions. This role requires a strong understanding of medical terminology and the ability to work effectively in a clinical environment.

Responsibilities

Prepare patients for ECG procedures by explaining the process and ensuring their comfort. Operate ECG equipment to record electrical activity of the heart. Ensure proper electrode placement and monitor patient responses during the procedure. Maintain accurate records of ECG results and report findings to physicians or healthcare providers. Adhere to safety protocols and maintain cleanliness of the equipment and work area. Collaborate with other healthcare staff to ensure optimal patient care and follow-up. Stay updated on advancements in ECG technology and techniques.

Skills

Proficient understanding of medical terminology related to cardiology and ECG procedures. Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills. Ability to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare professionals. Familiarity with operating medical equipment, specifically ECG machines, is preferred.
