Bilingual abilities in English and French are highly valued to support diverse student populations. Responsibilities
Develop and deliver age-appropriate lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards
Foster an inclusive classroom environment that supports children with disabilities and special education needs
Utilize effective communication skills to engage students, parents, and colleagues
Incorporate technology and computer skills to enhance learning experiences
Manage classroom activities efficiently, demonstrating strong time management and organizational skills
Assess student progress regularly and adapt teaching strategies accordingly
Collaborate with colleagues to develop interdisciplinary projects and school programs
Maintain accurate records of student performance and attendance
Support the social-emotional development of students through leadership and mentorship
Ensure safety protocols are followed consistently within the classroom setting
Requirements
Proven experience working with children in educational or childcare settings
Strong knowledge of early childhood education principles and classroom management techniques
Bilingual proficiency in English and French is preferred
Experience working with children with disabilities or in special education programs is a plus
Excellent communication, writing, and organizational skills
Proficiency in computer operation and educational software applications
Demonstrated leadership qualities and ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team
Ability to effectively manage time and prioritize tasks in a dynamic environment
Relevant certifications or degrees in education, child development, or related fields are desirable
Passion for teaching, patience, creativity, and a genuine interest in student success
