We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a positive learning environment, fostering student development, and supporting diverse learning needs.

This role requires excellent communication skills, classroom management, and the ability to engage children effectively.

The Teacher will play a vital role in shaping young minds and promoting a love for learning across various age groups.

Duties

Develop and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards in English, French, or other languages as applicable Foster a supportive classroom environment that encourages student participation and growth Assess student progress and adapt teaching strategies to meet individual needs, including those with special education requirements or disabilities Maintain accurate records of student attendance, performance, and behavioral observations Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and colleagues to support student success and address any concerns Utilize computer skills for lesson planning, record keeping, and communication purposes Manage classroom behavior through effective discipline strategies and positive reinforcement Organize classroom activities that promote social-emotional development and early childhood education principles Ensure safety protocols are followed at all times, especially when working with children with special needs or disabilities

Skills

Proficiency in English is a must Strong communication skills for effective interaction with students, parents, and colleagues Experience working with children across various age groups, including those that are neurodivergent Knowledge of early childhood education practices and child development principles Classroom management expertise coupled with organizational skills to maintain an efficient learning environment Ability to utilize computer operation for lesson planning, documentation, and communication tools Demonstrated leadership qualities with the ability to motivate students and foster a collaborative classroom atmosphere Excellent writing skills for report writing, lesson documentation, and correspondence Time management skills to balance multiple responsibilities effectively Hours: 8:30-4:30 One evening of tutoring 4:30-5:30
